The Briars offered a fantastic stay with breathtaking sea views from my Superior Double Room. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided ample hanging space. The breakfast options were impressive, ranging from freshly cooked full English to delightful pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The hosts, Mandy and Malcolm, were exceptional, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and personalized service throughout my stay.

oh, the experience at this 'four-star' hotel was something! the shower pressure was laughable, my whole hair washing was an epic fail! also, a complimentary snack upon check-in woudl ve been a pleasant surprise. oh, and not to forget, the outdated decor was a true masterpiece from, like, 40 years ago. so glad I didn’t recommend this place.

Water pressure in the showers was consistently low, making for a less-than-ideal experience when trying to wash up. the need to pre-order breakfast the night before was a hassle, and the bathroom sizes in some rooms were on the smaller side, leading to some discomfort. Traffic noise from the road was noticeable, especially in front-facing rooms, which could disrupt a peaceful night's sleep.

I had a wonderful time with a spacious single room boasting a sea view, and the breakfast was fantastic, served hot and abundantly! Just a minor hiccup with the salt shaker though.
